These Community Guidelines explain what is allowed on Cloudpals, what is not allowed, and when content may be limited because it is visible to teen users. They apply to profiles, usernames, nicknames, bios, links, photos, videos, feed posts, comments, messages, voice notes, gifts, reports, and other activity on Cloudpals.
Cloudpals is a 13+ language-learning community. Teen and adult accounts may both appear in discovery surfaces such as Search, feed previews, and profile surfaces for eligible users, but cross-age private contact is restricted. Because adult profiles can still be visible to teens, profile and feed content must be appropriate for teen-visible surfaces unless Cloudpals restricts it from teen visibility.
Depending on severity and context, Cloudpals may remove content, hide it from teens, limit discovery, disable links or features, restrict messaging, suspend an account, permanently terminate an account, or report suspected illegal activity where required by law.
Cloudpals does not allow accounts for users under 13. Users must provide accurate age information and may be asked to complete an age recheck when safety signals indicate risk.
Do not post or encourage content that is inappropriate for minors on teen-visible surfaces. This includes content showing or promoting minors using alcohol, tobacco, nicotine, vaping products, drugs, weapons, gambling, or other regulated goods; dangerous stunts or delinquent behavior; sexualized behavior; or other activity that creates a material safety risk for teens.
Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, trafficking, and any attempt to exploit minors on or off platform are strictly prohibited and are covered in more detail in the CSAE Policy.
Do not post pornography, explicit sexual content, sexual services, sexual solicitation, or nudity-focused content. Do not use profile photos, profile videos, bios, links, or feed content to advertise sexual services or move users to sexual activity off platform.
Sexual or suggestive content involving minors, people who appear to be minors, school-age framing, or age-play is not allowed.
Do not harass, bully, threaten, shame, degrade, or target another person or group. This includes repeated unwanted contact, coordinated harassment, humiliation, threats, and abusive content directed at someone you know, yourself, public figures, or other users.
Do not attack, dehumanize, exclude, or use slurs against people based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, immigration status, or serious disease. Praise, support, or promotion of hate groups is not allowed.
Do not post threats, instructions, encouragement, praise, or graphic depictions of serious violence. Do not promote dangerous challenges, dares, stunts, weapon misuse, reckless vehicle behavior, or copyable acts that could cause serious harm.
Graphic injury, gore, torture, abuse, or content that shocks or exploits suffering may be removed or restricted. Animal cruelty, staged harm to animals, or encouragement of animal abuse is not allowed.
Do not post content that promotes, instructs, romanticizes, or graphically depicts suicide, self-harm, eating-disorder behavior, or other self-injury. This includes methods, challenges, encouragement, or competitive framing.
Supportive, educational, recovery-oriented, or help-seeking content may be allowed when it avoids methods, instructions, graphic detail, and glorification.
Do not sell, trade, promote, facilitate, or provide instructions for illegal activity, criminal groups, terrorism, weapons, drugs, controlled substances, counterfeit goods, fraud, or other illegal services.
Regulated goods such as tobacco, nicotine, vaping products, alcohol, gambling, weapons, and drugs may not be promoted, glamorized, sold, traded, linked, branded, or shown in ways inappropriate for minors. Adult use of tobacco, vaping products, alcohol, or similar regulated goods may be hidden from teens, limited in discovery, or removed when it is prominent, promotional, instructional, branded, or otherwise unsuitable for teen-visible surfaces.
Do not use Cloudpals for scams, phishing, fake giveaways, fake investments, romance scams, payment fraud, malware, impersonated support, spam, or deceptive links. Do not manipulate users into leaving Cloudpals for unsafe, misleading, or abusive purposes.
Profile links, bios, usernames, posts, and messages must not mislead users about where a link goes, what is being offered, who is behind it, or whether Cloudpals endorses it.
Do not use Cloudpals feed posts, comments, bios, usernames, links, messages, or other surfaces primarily to advertise, sell, or promote products, services, affiliate links, paid offers, giveaways, shops, apps, courses, external businesses, or other commercial activity.
Casual non-commercial mentions of personal projects may be allowed when they are relevant to language learning or community conversation and do not include spammy calls to action, misleading links, unsafe content, or attempts to move users into transactions off platform.
Do not pretend to be another person, celebrity, brand, organization, Cloudpals staff member, or public figure. Do not use misleading usernames, nicknames, profile photos, bios, links, badges, or profile information.
Profile information should be appropriate for a 13+ language-learning community. Cloudpals may remove or restrict profile photos, profile videos, bios, links, usernames, or nicknames that violate these Guidelines or create safety risk.
Respect other people's copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights. Do not upload, copy, or distribute content you do not have permission to use when doing so violates another person's rights.
Do not share another person's private information without permission, including home addresses, phone numbers, private emails, identity documents, precise location, financial information, login credentials, private images, or confidential messages.
Do not attempt to compromise Cloudpals, another user's account, devices, or data. Hacking, credential theft, scraping abuse, evading safety controls, or assisting others in doing so is not allowed.
Do not post harmful misinformation, deceptive manipulated media, or synthetic media that misleads people about identity, safety, emergencies, civic processes, medical decisions, or other high-risk topics.
AI-generated or edited content may be removed or restricted when it is deceptive, impersonates someone, facilitates abuse, or creates safety risk.
Users can report suspected violations in the app or by contacting support@softwarefuturism.co.uk. Reports are reviewed using these Guidelines, the Terms of Use, the CSAE Policy, applicable law, and available context.
Eligible users may request review of moderation outcomes through support. Severe, repeated, or evasive violations may result in stronger action, including account restrictions, suspension, or permanent termination.
